Seoul Ad Campaign

Spreading the KAPS message across the Seoul transportation system

For one and half months starting the 14th of October, Seoul commuters using subway line one came across a heart-warming message. Thanks to the sponsorship of Haesun Park who runs the Seoul branch, KAPS is reaching a wider audience with their central message that loving animals leads to a peaceful society. The ad was titled “Let’s create a happier world” and aimed to spread the message of the importance of animal protection. It read:

“Loving animals is loving life and leads to a caring society. It does not mean just feeling sorry for animals. We need to work together and turn our own compassion into saving lives. Only through participation and dedication, can we create a better world for animals and ourselves.”

Haesun is also using her own money to sponsor a bus ad campaign starting mid-November which will run for one month. This campaign will feature animals from the KAPS shelter, including sponsor dog “Bright,” who was rescued from the fate of being slaughtered for food. She felt it important to send out a message that yellow dogs are also our friends and just as lovable as imported breeds from the West. We thank Haesun for her generosity and initiative in starting the ad campaign. We would like to continue the campaign with another message speaking out against consumption of dog and cat meat.

The key points of the next ad will be:

“Dogs and cats are our closest animal friends. Protecting them as companion animals will lead to improving the lives of all animals. It is time to stop the consumption of dog and cat meat.”
